Large
corporations have many departments that each perform a single
task day in and day out. In a small business every person gets
to wear many different hats and do many different things that
contribute to the business. The following are some of the most
important things that you would do:
In
Store Sales
For
50 years we have attempted to serve the people of Hope and
Southwest Arkansas with quality footwear and clothing with
excellent customer service. A person’s impression of a retail
business is shaped by the person that helps him or her with
his purchase on the most recent visits. We seek to hire and
retain folks who will leave people with a good impression of
our business—mainly through their attitude, but with their
product knowledge as well. Being friendly and getting along
well with others is of paramount importance in this
job.
On-line Customer Service
Our 50 year
tradition in Southwest Arkansas has now extended across the
country and around the world. We now have customers from all
50 states and several foreign countries. This means that
strong communication skills--both verbal and written are very
important. We communicate with our on-line customers by
answering phone calls, e-mailing, and on-line chats. Because
of this, being comfortable with technology is essential. Also,
a good product knowledge of fits and features is something
that must be learned. This is especially important with
helping customers outside our local area as they are not able
to touch and try on the
items.
Modeling*
Modeling simply involves
trying on new items that we receive to be photographed and
added to the website. A person of average size is preferred.
An above average height is necessary to model some of the
longer jeans.
*Your willingness to model for the web site
is not a requirement for this job, but it is a
plus.
Compensation
This
is an entry-level position with pay increases based on your
performance and ability to handle multiple tasks well.
Advancement possibilities exist as we are seeking someone that
can take over more responsibilities.
